change instantly by changing any one of the reality elements but to achieve lasting and successful change all
three elements need to be addressed.

The power of DeltaTherapy is that it has the ability to simplify any problem a client presents me with, the
downside to this is convincing the client their problem is easy to treat. As an example, I suggest that fear is a
control issue. We all fear something; the dentist, dogs, cats, mice, etc,. One of the more unusual phobias that
people have is the fear of tree roots, (dendrophobia), and cannot walk in a forest or woods because of this fear.

With any fear or phobia, we tend to focus on it, plan exit strategies and play the 'what if' games in order to
maintain control the situation. Take the fear of flying, months before a person flies they are planning their
strategies and are constantly  focused on the event. The nearer the event the more emotional they become.
When the day arrives and the person is seated in the aeroplane and the cabin door closes they feel trapped no
longer in control. What can they do? If the cannot control the situation they can manage the way they see it,
think about it, or behave in that situation.

However, do not run away with the idea all fears are unhealthy, they do serve a useful purpose and protect
people from potential danger. It is only when fears are out of proportion to the circumstances and the person
cannot function properly they need to be addressed. To have a fear of crocodiles whilst living in African or the
Australian outback is healthy, to have the same degree of fear in England would be out of proportion to the
circumstances.

People wasted time and effort trying to control things which are simply beyond their control. When their
strategies do not go according plan and they lose control of the situation panic overtakes them. The fear of
being out of control in close proximity to the fear is more powerful than the object of the fear itself.
DeltaTherapy™ is a new therapy created to help my
clients when I had a practice in Harley Street, London. I
wanted to explore why some clients failed to achieve
the change they so required when others succeeded.

Reality is relative to the individual, a person cannot
experience another persons reality. I created a 'Reality
Triangle' containing elements that make up a persons
reality. I also concluded anyone's reality is dependant on
how they think about things, how see things and how
they behave. If a person wants to change then if they
think differently, do things differently, and see things
differently, their reality will also change. It is possible to
